Yeah, I have heard him interviewed on NPR and I really liked what he had to say. It sure would be a lot easier if I was raised to eat the way he suggests eating. It's hard to overcome years of bad habits.

I'm not averaging my calories weekly because I'm using the Bodybugg, which is set up to compare calories burned to calories consumed each day. So I just input my food into the program, then upload the data from my armband each night to see how many calories I burned. Averaging calories by week would actually be more complicated in my case, as the program just calculates everything for me daily. It also keeps track of where you are compared to the recommended daily values of things like sodium, fiber, calcium, etc. I love it. Makes the whole process much easier for me.

I saw Pollan on The Daily Show and was impressed.
Don't want to try averaging your calories by week?
